Mentorship Program
The MSELA Mentorship Program pairs MSELA members with experienced legal professionals in sports and entertainment law. This program is designed to provide MSELA members with valuable exposure and access to industry experts, fostering professional development and deepen their knowledge of these fields.
Commitment
This program requires a 2-hour commitment from mentees — 1 hour in the Fall semester and 1 hour in the Winter semester. This includes a 30-minute video or phone call with your mentor each semester, in addition to general email communication. There may be opportunities for additional interaction, depending on the mentor. However, while mentors are invited to continue the mentor relationship if they please, mentees should only expect a total commitment of 2 hours.
Eligibility
Only McGill Law students are eligible to participate in this program. Furthermore, all mentees must confirm their commitment to participate in the program and agree to adhere to the etiquette guidelines provided by MSELA.
Feedback
At the end of each year, MSELA will reach out to mentors and mentees for feedback on how to enhance the program. If you have any comments or concerns, please feel free to share them in our year-end feedback form.
SIGN UP INFORMATION
The sign-up form is now closed. Please contact us at msela.mcgill.law@gmail.com if needed.

Please note that while we aim to create as many pairings as possible, the number of mentors is limited, so we cannot guarantee that everyone will be assigned a mentor or that their mentor will practice in their primary area of interest. A mandatory confirmation of your commitment to participate in the program and agreement to adhere to the etiquette guidelines is included in the form. Once paired with a mentor, you will receive a notification from MSELA via your McGill email address.
